Anotronic has been in business for 30 years, continually updating and refining our capability to match our customers demands. We continue to lead the way in precision engineering in 2013.
- 1982 Company formation
Anotronic was formed and incorporated specialising in ECM, ECD, EDM and associated tooling and machines.
- 1983 - 1988 Expansion
Expansion of sub-contract facilities from one to three premises. Agency for EDM machines and centrifuges. Design and manufacture of own ECM / ECD machine.
- 1990 Under one roof
Relocation of premises to one larger unit.
- 1990 - 1997 Further expansion
Further expansion of sub-contract facilities to 20 EDM / ECM machines with additional toolroom machines and beginning of full component manufacture. More special purpose machines designed and built including portable single phase power ECD, ECM Die Polisher, STEM Drills, EDM Drilling Machines and portable EDM units.
- 1998 ISO 9000
Factory extended 20%. ISO 9000 Accreditation through B.S.I. (FM40096)
- 1998 - 2003 First fully robotised ECD
First fully robotised ECD machine designed and installed at TRW Pontypool to deburr car brake cylinders. Martin White appointed Production Director. Twin and Triple Station ECD machines designed and manufactured.
- 2004 - 2010 One stop shop
Decision made to expand conventional machining facilities to offer “One Stop Shop”. Gradual expansion of CNC machining facilities with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC mills, CNC turning, CNC grinding and CNC EDM added.
- 2011 Extented capacity
Sub-contract facility now includes: 30 EDM / ECM’s 09 CNC mills 03 CNC lathes 03 Surface Grinders (CNC / Optidress) 02 C.M.M’s
- 2012 Further Investment
6 axis EDM Drill installed 4 axis EDM Drill installed Matsuura 5 axis Milling Machine with LANG Pallet loader installed
